December 1st afternoon, GCA grade 10 students all came to top of the library and listened a landscape architect Mr. Zhao to talk about architectural of Suzhou Garden.First, he explained what the garden is, and the Chinese word ‘园’(English means garden). It has closures, ponds, and trees, so we can call it garden. Mr. Zhao used Suzhou Garden for example and to explained all the gardens.
Second, he talks about the main type of garden. It has imperial gardens, private gardens, temple gardens and scenery gardens. Imperial gardens are noted for their expansive size, grandeur and stateliness. The gardens of Suzhou are the epitome of landscaping art for the private garden, with their delicacy, intimacy and simplicity. The designer’s private gardens, not bound by the rigid conventions of the imperial court, had greater freedom of expression in their art. Zhuozheng Garden, Liuyuan
Garden is most famous private garden.
Third, he talks about feature art of Suzhou Garden. It is poetry, when you came in to Suzhou Garden; you will feel about nature and relaxes. It is noisy, but it was not short quiet. It makes you have art inspiration.Another thing is achieve balance between water and stones.
